It seems there is always more than just one thing that we must deal with lately.
I like to joke, "One disaster at a time." But these days, its more like we have to juggle many at once, trying not to drop any of the balls.
I am about to go into the shop for the first time in a week. And I am happy. Some kind of trouble lays in ait, just beyond the fringes of my sight but for now I won't let it bring me down.
Oh and I became a Motor Maid last week. I also got a copy of Chris Summer Simmons book about women bikers in history. Very inspirational.
In all of this, I remember my friend Samantha Morgan, the Wall of death rider who died so tragically in '08. There was this beautiful healing light that shone out of her eyes when she was alive. It was there for anyone who knew her.
I think about my troubles, then I tink of Sammy who lived in such pain from her injuries.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and please feel free to do so. That's what this blog is for.Spooky Lil Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15413457752765080223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5211753597461278953.post-17654165492830337062010-03-10T04:04:12.137-08:002010-03-10T04:04:12.137-08:00I'm glad to hear your Daytona trip was a succe...I'm glad to hear your Daytona trip was a success! My brother (the one who lives in Spring Hill, FL) also went over for bike week and he said he got cold and wet Friday. I had him on the phone and told him I was jealous that I wasn't there with him and he said... "don't be... it sucks!" LOL! It got better for him throughout the weekend though.

I was still in Iowa with my mom, so I wasn't feeling very festive. Things are getting better on that front as well. I just need time for my empty heart to feel full again.

I returned home to Alabama last Friday and my hubby lead us on a nice long ride on Saturday. It was a bright and sunny day and I felt myself just giving in to the relaxed feeling of nothingness. I've been under a lot of stress worrying about my mom and her financial situation with dad's passing. He didn't do her any favors, but bless his soul... he certainly tried.

I can agree with you on the doom and gloom we see on the TV anymore. Hubby and I've started getting into shows like Axmen, Pawn Stars, and we also saw that show... Life After Humans. Pretty heavy shit. I keep a Suduko puzzle book by my table and I'll rip one or two of those off a night. They're addicting! LOL!

I guess I'm getting long winded here, it's just been a while since I dropped by. Good to read you again and I'll try not to stay away so long next time.

My best to you and PB. :)Lady R (Di)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08253802136989789026noreply@blogger.com
